Blood donation camp
Venue - Hedgewar rakt Pedhi, Nagpur
Date - 1,2,3 July 2020
In 3 days, a total of 23 units blood was collected by Rotarians and their friends. Almost 14-15 potential donors had to be deferred due to the strict norms followed by the blood bank, making the total number of attendees around 40.
The attendance was slightly below par due to the apprehensions of the members to donate during the pandemic.
The chairpersons for the camp were Amit Chandak, Bhavya Mehta, Sneha Parikh, Dr Prashant Nimbalkar and Prabhat Garg.
The officials of the Blood bank namely Mr Ashok Patki, secretary, Dr Tungaar, Chief medical advisor and Dr Kshirsagar, medical director of the blood bank were appreciated and felicitated by the president and other office bearers on 2nd July and were presented with a small memento.
The camp ended at 5pm in the 3rd of July. The detail document of all the blood donors names were provided to our club by the blood bank.
We have committed to the blood bank of conducting at least 2 such camps every year.
