“Rotary Club of Nagpur Vision Celebrates International Day of Persons with Disabilities with Deaf and Dumb School Circus Trip”
On the auspicious occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Rotary Club of Nagpur Vision’s Community Services team embarked on a heartwarming project. The team, led by Director Nitya Agrawal and comprising dedicated chairpersons Rakhi Amidwar, Priya Tatiwar, Swati Agrawal, Tanushree Vijaywargi, Swati Belkhede, Priyanka Sharma, and Geeta Verma, orchestrated a special outing for the children of the Deaf and Dumb School in Shankarnagar.The highlight of the event was a trip to the circus at Jaitala, where a 1 pm show awaited 44 enthusiastic students, accompanied by 10 school staff members. The transportation logistics were seamlessly arranged by RtnNeelmani Gupta, who ensured the smooth commute with two buses.
Adding a delightful touch to the experience, RtnFarnberg Bharucha thoughtfully organized snacks boxes for the participants, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the outing.The Rotary project aimed to demonstrate the capabilities of deaf and dumb students, showcasing their ability to engage in activities without verbal communication. The circus, with its vibrant visual performances and dynamic acts, served as a powerful medium to convey the message of resilience, skill, and the ability to make an impact without uttering a single word.The presence of the Rotary Club members, along with the school staff, created an atmosphere of support and encouragement, fostering a sense of inclusivity and celebrating the unique talents of the students.
