The Rotaract Club of VSPM physios, led by President Rtr. Palak Kothari and her team Rtr Harshita Singh , Rtr Suhani Khandelwal and Rtr Vinita Goenka in collaboration with AWAZ FOUNDATION, represented by Riya Madavi, Sanjana, Umang Borkar, Sojwalmakde and ROTARY CLUB OF NAGPUR VISION, spearheaded by Director Youth Yogesh Paliwal, Chairperson Sanjay Belkhede, Swati Belkhede and Karishma Paliwal organized a remarkable event titled “Pink Rally 2.0” on 28th April 2024, at rural area Isasani aimed at promoting women’s health and hygiene while providing essential education and resources to the community.
The primary focus of the event was to distribute sanitary pads to women and girls, along with comprehensive guidance on their usage and the advantages they offer over traditional cloth methods. During the rally, the team, engaged with participants, emphasizing the importance of maintaining proper menstrual hygiene and the potential health risks associated with using cloth instead of sanitary pads, including the risk of infections and even cancer. The aim was to debunk myths and misconceptions surrounding menstrual health and hygiene through informative sessions and demonstrations.
Additionally, recognizing the importance of nurturing the next generation, we extended our outreach by distributing biscuits to small kids present at the event. This gesture not only brought smiles to their faces but also symbolized our commitment to fostering healthier and happier communities.
Overall, the Pink Rally was a resounding success, fostering awareness and community engagement. By providing essential resources and education, we took significant strides towards promoting menstrual health and hygiene, while also reinforcing the values of compassion and support within our community.
