A unique online personality contest was organized for the lady members and spouses of RCNV,titled “RCNV Queens of Light”.
Women light up our lives and we wanted to allow them to shine their talents.
The preliminaries included a photo round where the ladies had to share pictures in traditional attire, western outfit and a travel/adventure picture.
The 2 nd round was a video of all the talents they could project. For the 3rd round they were requested to choose from 3 topics and speak for a minute. Topics allotted were, most favorite book, favourite movie or why is compassion important in today’s world.
The contest received a stupendous response and the organizers had to close the entries at 40. Ladies from varied walks of life and different age groups participated enthusiastically in this contest. The esteemed judges were Mr. Bakul Rajput ,renowned fitness consultant and entrepreneur from Mumbai, Mrs. Universe 2007, Mrs. Soumya Manglani and Mrs. Pratiksha Mayee, Secretary of Rotary club of Nagpur Downtown. It was indeed a tough decision to choose 12 finalists as each and every participant was really multi talented and confident. The criteria for judging the rounds were poise, confidence, stye, originality, relevance to topic, talents displayed ,speaking ability etc.
The chairpersons truly put in a lot of hard and smart work, to make it more interesting. They also played an important role in motivating the ladies and keeping their spirits high. The chairpersons are Ritesh Amidwar,Amit Jeswani,Sadashiv Bhole,Manjiv Sharma,Pawan Mangoli,Ankush Agrawal,Shamik Ambatkar and Shashikant Raghuwanshi.
President Jatin Sampat and Secretary Pinaki MUkherjee played the role of motivators and trouble shooters for this event .The 12 finalists were declared on 30th October during the meeting.
We would like to congratulate all the participants and the finalists. We are all anticipating the grand finale on 8th November I would like to dedicate this quote to all ladies of our club “To shine your brightest light, is to be who you truly are”. Shine On..we are waiting to applaud for you.
