Report on the Nature Explorers Workshop

The Nature Explorers workshop, a special initiative aimed at promoting the conservation of nature among young children, was conducted on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Shivaji Nagar Park, Nagpur. The workshop was organized for the RotaKids and was conducted by Mrs. Praneti Lawange, the honorary wildlife warden of Nagpur district.
25 enthusiastic Rotakids in the age group 5 to 14 years participated in the workshop. President Ajay Uplanchiwar, Director Yogesh Paliwal, Chairpersons Shruti Ghatode and Komal Arya, Neeta Punyani, Karishma Paliwal, Vaijayanti, Shweta Durugkar, Sandeep and Pravina Durugkar, Priyanka Sharma, Payal Mallelwar, Abhishek Ghatode, Rahul Arya, Pramod Batra, Altaf, Swati and Sanjay Belkhade and others were present.

The workshop began with the introduction of Praneti Lawange, by Arya Yadav, one of our Rotakids. Activities started with warm up exercises. Activities like “Ek Bada Pahad ” and “Hariyali,” energized both children and adults.
Mrs. Lawange conducted a nature walk, where she shared insightful information about various trees, their importance, and the broader aspects of nature conservation. To consolidate their learning experience, the children participated in a drawing activity, capturing their observations and memories from the nature walk. The activity was met with great enthusiasm, and several children received prizes for their sketches and attentive participation.The workshop not only educated but also fostered a sense of community and shared purpose among the participants. Such initiatives play a crucial role in nurturing young minds and instilling a lifelong commitment to protecting our environment.

The event concluded with aninformativetalk by Mrs. Praneti Lawange on the importance of conserving nature. She offered practical advice on how to protect the environment, emphasizing the role of trees, leaves, bamboo, and other natural elements.Such initiatives play a crucial role in nurturing young minds and instilling a lifelong commitment to protecting our environment, she remarked.
A vote of thanks was delivered by Anvika Yadav, an enthusiastic young Rotakid. She expressedher gratitude towards Mrs. Lawange, the committee members, and all who contributed to the success of the workshop. Breakfast boxes were distributed to all attendees, ensuring everyone left with both full minds and bellies.
