Report on RAAG Trip to Kukdi Khapa
On 31st of July, a bright Sunday morning, RCNV made the first trip of the RCNV Action and Adventure Group, better known as RAAG to a seasonal waterfall spot with lush green scenery called Kukdi Khapa in neighbouring Madhya Pradesh state.
Attended by a tidy group of participants, almost 35, we started from Mankapur at about 7.45 am and reached the destination in two hours, covering a distance of around 95 kms.
The falls are fed by a stream that runs through the adjoining village and the waters cascade over a precipice into a gorgeous froth. Everyone had to climb down some rocks to get to the waters. However once there, no one could resist the sheer thrill and joy of such a delight.
Reluctantly we got out after a couple of hours, had some snacks that members had carried and dispersed after a formal vote of thanks by Rotary Ann. Sonal Singhvi with a promise of another great site of historical or natural beauty to visit.
The trip was organised by the RAAG committee Director Ritesh Amidwar and Chairperson Meghana Nene with critical advisory inputs from PP Sohrab Kanga.
